Regional presently offers two (2) transloading locations with road transportation service from the same location.  The locations are Hopewell Virginia and Johnson City TN.   A unique aspect of both locations is their open rail access to the Norfolk Southern and CSX raillines.  This offers competitive rail economics and flexibility on the best freight rate given the products originating railroad. Regional’s Hopewell facility has the ability to offload from railcar to tanker/trailer or to storage.

Steam heat and compressed air is available at each railcar spot. Our terminal operators and mechanics are trained to operate and maintain the various hazardous and non-hazardous product pumps, tanks, boilers for heating products, river dock, rail siding, and truck racks. Customers use this service to economically establish new distribution points for their product(s). This service is used until the\market grows to a point where a storage tank can be justified.
